The Bobbi Kristina biopic will air Sunday.

TV One’s biopic of Bobbi Kristina Brown will still air on October 8 after a federal judge in Manhatten ruled against a request by Bobby Brown to block the film.

The 48-year old singer filed a $2 million lawsuit to stop Bobbie Kristina from airing Sunday. Brown argued that the movie portrays him poorly, making him look like a bad father and violent husband to Whitney Houston.

However, judge Analisa Torres said that his accusations were ‘speculative,’ and ‘whether Bobby Brown was a bad father is a matter of opinion.’

She also pointed out passages of Brown’s autobiography Every Little Step: My Story, in which Brown admitted to violence in their relationship. ‘I turned around to her, drew back my hand, and smacked her across the face.’

TV One responded to the court’s decision with a statement, ‘We are pleased with the court’s ruling and look forward to sharing this poignant look at the life of Bobbi Kristina Brown.’

The Bobbi Kristina biopic will air Sunday at 7/6c on TV One.
