Hurricane Irma Can Affect the US

Florida Governor declares state of emergency for the entire state.

Hurricane Irma approached the eastern caribbean this morning at winds reaching 120 mph at a category 3 storm. There is now a recent update that the winds have now reached 130 mph and is now a category 4 hurricane.

Although it is a little early to determine the actual path being that it’s several days away from a possible US landfall, the Florida Governor has declared a state of emergency this afternoon. There is definitely an increasing chance of seeing some impact from Irma in the Florida peninsula and Florida Keys later this week and this weekend.
